We want to tell you who we are. Not the version with the hard parts removed. The actual story, because the hard parts are where God was most clearly at work.

How Justin Got Here

I built my early career in diagnostic imaging: nuclear medicine and CT. Most of my life I also had seizures. The two things coexisted for years and nobody connected them.

I left imaging and went into full-time international ministry. Haiti. Kenya. A year and a half in Japan with Samaritan's Purse. Disaster relief across the United States. I was learning what it means to go where the need is and serve whoever walks through the door with whatever you have.

When I came back I met a chiropractor who showed me everything. Showed me what spinal injury looks like on a film. Showed me the loss of cervical lordosis in my own imaging. Showed me the structural compromise that had been present for years and connected it, for the first time, to the seizures I had carried most of my life.

Corrective chiropractic care. The seizures stopped. The medications stopped. They have not returned.

The Prophecy, the Plan, and the Door That Closed

Kelly and I got married. A prophecy was given to me about this work: about what these hands would do, about the people who would come, about what would happen when I got there. I was accepted to chiropractic school.

But we already had a plan. A two year missionary contract in Haiti. So we prepared the way you prepare when you are serious about going. We paid off every debt. Every bill we would owe over the next two years. We gave away what we could not take and laid down what we had, because we were going to be gone for two years and we did not want to leave anything unfinished behind us.

The contract fell through.

We had zero dollars. We had nowhere to live. Everything had been paid forward and given away for a two year mission that was not going to happen. We had nothing to our names because we had put everything on the altar for a door that did not open.

We were homeless for three months.

Kelly went back to her previous company. They gave her a promotion. She carried us through that season with grace and without complaint. And because the door to Haiti had closed and we had nothing left holding us in place, we were suddenly free to go to chiropractic school earlier than we had ever planned. The sacrifice we made for the mission we thought we were going on became the exact condition God used to send us toward the one He had actually designed us for.

The closed door was not a failed plan. It was the plan.

I went to chiropractic school. I trained. I published research. I became a CLEAR Institute Fellow and joined the Board of Directors. And people come now from all over the world. What was spoken over me before any of this happened is what is happening now.

Kelly: Not Recovery. Arrival.

While all of this was unfolding, Kelly was also in the middle of her own physical story. Her body had been shutting down in her twenties: multiple medications, migraines, severe allergies, an immune system failing in ways that had led her physicians to a verdict. She would never have children.

We pursued corrective chiropractic care together. We stopped masking what was happening and started addressing the structural sources. We let the body do what it was designed to do once the interference was removed.

The migraines are gone. The allergies are managed. The medications are gone. We have two children at home.

She was told she would never have children. We have two children at home.

But recovery is not the right word for what happened to Kelly. Recovery implies you went back to where you were before. What happened is that Kelly arrived somewhere she had never been. The body God designed her to have was finally free to do what it was made for. She did not get her old life back. She stepped into the mission she was always meant to carry.

She went to Nicaragua. She went to Haiti. She earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine. Because when you experience that kind of restoration you do not stop at receiving it. You become someone who can give it to others.

We are both doctors now. Both built from inside a story we could not have planned or manufactured. Both doing exactly what we were designed to do.

This Is Who We Are

We are not a practice that added a mission statement. We are missionaries who became doctors because of what God did in our own bodies, and who built a practice around the conviction that restoring the body is not separate from restoring the person's capacity to live out their calling.

The goal was never just health. The goal was always thriving. The goal was always the mission.

We are active members of Moments of Hope Church under Pastor David. We see local pastors here, and missionaries on sabbatical whose bodies are carrying years of field work that nobody has evaluated. We see ministry workers who are pouring out for everyone around them with little or nothing left in the cup. We are here to serve those.

We see things in this practice we can explain clinically and things we can only describe as what they are. Miracles. From these hands. Because of what God does when the structural interference is removed and the body is finally free to function the way it was made to function.

Both things are true. We live in both of them every day.

An Open Door

If you are a pastor, a missionary, a ministry worker, or a member of the Charlotte faith community who is living with something in your body that is limiting your capacity to do what you were made to do: we would like to see you. As people who have been exactly where you are.

No referral required. We will take the time your evaluation demands. We will be honest about what we find. And we will do everything we can to help you thrive in the mission you were designed for.
