Dr. Justin Dick, DC, is the only CLEAR Institute Board Member with peer-reviewed, indexed scoliosis research actively practicing in the Carolinas. Dr. Dick’s path to chiropractic medicine was shaped by adversity. As a young man, he survived a major motor vehicle accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury and epilepsy — injuries his physicians did not expect him to recover from. After months of intensive therapy, he enrolled at Ferris State University, graduating in 2007 with degrees in Healthcare Systems Administration and Nuclear Medicine. Before entering chiropractic school at Sherman College, Dr. Dick completed a clinical career in nuclear medicine technology and diagnostic CT imaging, earning the Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) designation from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and dual registration in Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). These credentials — CNMT and ARRT(N)(CT) — represent formal, nationally recognized certification in medical imaging disciplines that almost no chiropractor holds. This background gives Dr. Dick a depth of radiologic literacy that is directly relevant to his clinical work: he reads structural spinal imaging not merely as a treating clinician but as a credentialed imaging professional. In PI cases, that distinction matters. He began his career in a hospital setting, where he observed a pattern that would define his professional mission: patients completing treatment but leaving without genuine recovery. In 2009, he left clinical practice temporarily to pursue international field ministry, traveling globally to serve communities affected by disaster. He returned to the United States in 2012. Dr. Dick earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Chiropractic and established his practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. Direct clinical experience with scoliosis patients — and their frustration navigating a system with few non-surgical options — led him to pursue specialty training. CLEAR Institute Credentials (chronological):
2019 — Standard Care Certification, CLEAR Institute 2021 — Intensive Care Certification, CLEAR Institute 2023 — Fellow, CLEAR Institute 2024 — Appointed to the CLEAR Institute Board of Directors
CLEAR Institute is a nonprofit scoliosis education and certification organization whose protocols are grounded in peer-reviewed research on conservative, non-surgical scoliosis management. Dr. Dick is also a graduate of the ISICO World Masters program, an advanced international certification in the conservative treatment and management of scoliosis administered by ISICO (the Italian Scientific Spine Institute). In 2023, he was certified as a Medical Examiner by the U.S. Department of Transportation. His additional certifications include: Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation (FAKTR), Scoliosis-specific bracing (ScoliBrace, SpinCor), Back Genius, and Computerized Radiographic Mensuration Analysis. He holds active credentials as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT, RT(N)(CT)). Dr. Dick practices alongside his wife Kelly, a naturopathic health professional, in Charlotte, NC, where their mission is to change outcomes for scoliosis and personal injury patients through evidence-informed, non-surgical care.
Dr. Justin Dick's expertise is recognized by leading institutions around the world. His extensive post-graduate training and certifications place him in a class of spinal specialists.

Insurance/Payment
Remaining true to our mission as a healthcare provider, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. However, the current healthcare system has made it increasingly challenging to maintain this level of care while still keeping up with the demands of insurance providers. We believe that by not accepting insurance, we can better allocate our resources towards providing our patients with individualized care. You may expect an estimate for care.
Although we do not accept insurance as payment, you may utilize your insurance for labs, x-rays, emergency department visits and hospital stays when/if indicated.
We are committed to working with you to find alternative payment options such as payment plans or cash payments. Should you need an option for financing, we do offer Care Credit.
We are proud members of the International Chiropractic Association (ICA).
